Megladons Prey
The megalodon was/still is the largest predator ever lived. They ate marine mammals including medium whales, sea turtles, and squid. This diet is very different from sharks today because they eat fish instead. The Megalodon shark babies use to hunt their prey in coastal waters, because they couldn’t catch bigger prey. Adult megalodons preferred to be in offshore areas to catch sea turtles, whales, etc.
Fossils
The Megalodon is made of cartilge so we dont have a lot of fossils from it. the Megalodon teeth are the most common Megaldon fossil we find because the Megalodon is made of cartilage. some other body parts we find is its jaw because that is also not made of cartilage. the Megalodon also had a back bone witch extended from its head to its tale. some Megalodon fossils are 2.6 million years old.
